Deirdre Schmidt

Deirdre (Dee) Schmidt is an educator with over 24 years of experience. Along with being a classroom teacher, she has served as a Reading Intervention Specialist and is currently working as a Literacy Coach for Bay District Schools. She has both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Because of her love of reading instruction, Dee went on to earn a specialist degree in Reading and Language Arts. Her certifications include Primary/K-3 Education as well as reading and ESOL endorsements. Dee is also proud that she earned National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist. Her love of literacy and instruction brought her to serve as a course facilitator for Beacon.
