Carra Summers

Lead Program Manager

Carra serves as a Lead Program Manager for Beacon Educator. She has been an educator for 29 1/2 years. After leaving the classroom where she worked for 18 years, she served as an instructional specialist for charter, private and home schools and as virtual schools coordinator. She has taught in the classroom in grades Pre K-5th grades and grades 9-12 as a self-contained ESE Varying Exceptionalities teacher, a support facilitation teacher paired with general education teachers, and as an ASPIRE teacher. She has also worked as a screener for Child Find and job coach for on-the-job training ESE students. Carra holds a BS in Mental Retardation from Auburn University and an MS in Educational Leadership from FSU. She is certified in Mental Retardation K-12, Elementary Education, Autism, Educational Leadership, and School Principal.
