Description
Learn several ways to proactively manage the students and important resources for the classroom. Identify what can be accomplished before students arrive, during student contact time, and after students leave to make your teaching assignment productive and enjoyable.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the characteristics of a classroom leader and manager.
- Understand the importance of being an effective educator.
- Identify ways to prepare for a teaching assignment before students arrive.
- Identify ways to create a classroom climate for learning. (i.e., student names, control student behaviors, and provide incentives).
- Identify important information to communicate back to the classroom teacher after instruction.
Documentation Methods
Participants must document their learning by completing the following summatives.
1 Multiple Choice Exam - Learner demonstrates knowledge of content by selecting
the correct answer from the choices provided.
3 Reflections - Learner synthesizes previous knowledge and course content in
order to develop a narrative response.
The summatives must meet 80% of the established criteria.
