Description
Learn ways to proactively manage students and resources for the classroom. Identify what should be accomplished before students arrive, during student contact time, and after students leave.

- Learn techniques to accommodate differences in students’ behavior.
- Identify reasons for disruptive behavior of students.
- Identify incentives and consequences for students that establish a positive learning environment.
- Learn ways to establish positive interactions between the teacher and students that focus on learning.
- Identify ways to protect students from conditions harmful to learning and/or to the students’ mental and/or physical health and/or safety.
- Understand how to use time effectively to maintain instructional momentum and how to make effective use of time for administrative and organizational activities.
- Learn ways to maintain academic focus of students using a variety of motivational tools.
- Learn how to use established rules and standards to establish consistent and equitable behavior.
- Understand the importance of evaluating and reflecting on current research and professional practice to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning.
- Understand how to use a variety of digital media and other formats to communicate information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers.
Documentation Methods
Participants must document their learning by completing the following summative.
1 Multiple Choice Exam - Learner demonstrates knowledge of content by selecting
the correct answer from the choices provided.
The summative must meet 80% of the established criteria.
