Description

Learn to organize, operate, sustain, and evaluate teaching teams. Explore team building strategies that are critical as educators confront the struggles and triumphs that accompany the team teaching endeavor. Note: This course addresses the team-teaching training requirement of Florida’s Class Size Reduction Amendment.

  7. Explore roles and responsibilities of team members.
  8. Identify planning tactics to ensure team success.
  9. Discover practices to promote team effectiveness.
  10. Examine the stages of team development.
  11. Explore the barriers associated with each phase of team development.
  12.  Examine approaches for effective team communication.
  13.  Analyze communication challenges.
  14.  Identify active listening strategies.
  15. Explore strategies to increase assertiveness skills.
  16. Learn procedures for giving constructive feedback.

 

Documentation Methods

Participants must document their learning by completing the following summative.

3 Reflections - Learner synthesizes previous knowledge and course content in order to develop a narrative response.

The summative must meet 80% of the established criteria.
