Isela S. Rodriguez, Ed.D, has 24 years of teaching experience with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She is certified in Elementary Education, Library and Information Sciences, Reading K-12, Gifted K-12, and TESOL K-12. Learning has been her lifelong passion - she holds a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a cognate in Reading. While her undergraduate was in Business Marketing Management and she worked in the private sector for several years, she pursued a teaching degree when she attained a Masters in Elementary Education. Additionally, Dr. Rodriguez has a Masters in Library Sciences, as well a Specialist in Curriculum and Learning. Dr. Rodriguez is a National Board Certified Teacher and she is a State-certified Clinical Educator. As an educator, she has taught every grade level at the elementary level in the gifted realm and presently, in her tenure as the Teacher Director, in the Office of Professional Development, she also teaches adult teachers in the endorsement areas including gifted, ESOL, and Reading. Professional growth continues to guide her learning and passion for teaching.
